Southern Museum Honors Dick Hillman During Annual Foundation Gala
The Kennesaw Museum Foundation on Saturday honored longtime conservator and board member Richard “Dick” Hillman during its annual Heroes and Legends Gala. Born in upstate New York, Hillman is one of the Southern Museum’s foremost railroad experts, especially about the Glover Machine Works. The locomotive factory, formerly located in nearby Marietta, helped rebuild the South after the Civil War. MLB announces 2010 Division Series Umpires
MLB News Release Major League Baseball has assigned the four umpiring crews that will work the American League and National League Division Series, which are scheduled to begin on Wednesday and Thursday. Angels minor leaguer suspended
MLB News Release The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced that Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Minor League pitcher Jordany Gomez has received a 50-game suspension after testing positive for Phentermine and Mephentermine, performance-enhancing substances in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. The suspension of Gomez, who is currently on the roster of the Angels’ Dominican Summer League club, is effective at the start of next season.
