Preliminary revenues through the Fourth of July holiday weekend for Cedar Fair Entertainment Co. increased 5 percent over the same period a year ago, the company announced.

In a ceremony on Thursday, April 12, an Ohio family will donate a rare Civil War-era Medal of Honor to Kennesaw’s Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History.

Attendance at Cedar Fair’s 17 amusement parks, water parks and active entertainment locations saw a 2.6 percent increase in attendance in 2011, the Sandusky, Ohio-based company announced.
