This week’s Disney headlines highlight continued popularity for Magic Kingdom, character returns at classic attractions, reopening milestones, and behind-the-scenes operational news across Walt Disney World and Disneyland resorts worldwide.
Disney has announced a major new addition to Magic Kingdom, Piston Peak National Park, based on the world of Pixar’s Cars and part of the largest expansion in the park’s history.
With a host of recently opened attractions and experiences – and more on the horizon – 2024 is sure to be a year like no other at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. “New” extends to practically every corner of the world with new and returning nighttime spectaculars, stage shows and character appearances, resort expansions, seasonal festivals and special events.
I thought of a question: If I could only experience one attraction in each of the Magic Kingdom’s seven lands, what would they be? Main Street: Main Street Vehicles (the trolley or the fire engine) Tomorrowland: Space Mountain Fantasyland: it’s a small world (strictly for the nostalgia, if nothing else) Liberty Square: The Haunted Mansion Frontierland: Big Thunder Mountain Adventureland: Pirates of the Caribbean Mickey’s Toontown Fair: WDW Railroad (cheating? perhaps) Maybe this was too
Walt Disney World is itself a classic. Generation after generation has grown up walking right down the middle of Main Street U.S.A., roamin’ the Wild West and waltzing with storybook characters in Fantasyland.
