Southeastern Railway Museum hosting annual photo competition

The Southeastern Railway Museum will accept entries for its fifth annual photo competition from Feb. 2 until Feb. 24. To enter, photographers must submit a photo taken at the museum and in both digital and print format. The museum will exhibit entries during March and will announce competition winners during an April 7 ceremony coinciding with the first day of the museum’s Caboose Days event. Southeastern Railway Museum hosting typewriter event

​The Southeastern Railway Museum will host typewriter enthusiasts from across the region during the Southeastern Typewriter Type-In. During the event, scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20, the museum will also display artifacts and items from its archives interpreting the role typewriters played in railroad operations over the year. Southeastern Railway Museum Hosting ‘Classics at the Crossing’ on Oct. 21

Vintage cars will descend on the Southeastern Railway Museum from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 21 for the museum’s fourth annual “Classics at the Crossing” car show. The car show is included in regular museum admission. Car owners interested in participating in the show can register on the museum’s website for $15 per vehicle. A hard copy of the registration form may be scanned and emailed to the museum or returned on the
