Delta Air Lines on Friday said it is planning to cut service to 24 smaller, under-performing markets, a move that will save the company millions of dollars.
All of Delta Air Lines’ Boeing 777 and 767-400ER aircraft have been upgraded to include full flat beds in the their BusinessElite cabins, the airline announced Wednesday.
The Federal Aviation Administration levied a $425,000 fine against Atlanta-based Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA), alleging the company operated a pair of jets that were “not in compliance with FAA regulations.”
Citing an “increase in jet fuel prices” and “fluctuating seasonal demand, a trio of airlines, including Delta, are planning to cut trans-Atlantic capacity by 7 to 9 percent.
The on-time performance of the nation’s largest airlines improved in 2010 compared to the previous year, according to the Air Travel Consumer Report released Thursday by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
