MLB announces 2010 Division Series Umpires
MLB News Release Major League Baseball has assigned the four umpiring crews that will work the American League and National League Division Series, which are scheduled to begin on Wednesday and Thursday. The four crew chiefs will be veterans Jerry Crawford, Dana DeMuth, John Hirschbeck and Tim Welke. Crawford, a 34-year Major League Umpire, will work the American League Division Series between the New York Yankees and the Minnesota Twins, beginning on Wednesday at Target
Angels minor leaguer suspended
MLB News Release The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced that Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Minor League pitcher Jordany Gomez has received a 50-game suspension after testing positive for Phentermine and Mephentermine, performance-enhancing substances in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. The suspension of Gomez, who is currently on the roster of the Angels’ Dominican Summer League club, is effective at the start of next season.
Division series rotations taking shape
