The mission of the Kennesaw Museum Foundation, Inc. is to create a superior museum environment at the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History by providing philanthropic and programmatic support for special exhibits, artifacts acquisition, educational programs, and community outreach. The Kennesaw Museum Foundation helps identify the priorities, direction, and goals in defining the Museum’s image and objectives.
Established in 1998 by the state of Georgia, the Foundation has grown to a donor base of nearly 1,000 individuals, private foundations, and companies. Membership is open to all those who want to support the Southern Museum and its activities in and around the community.
