Overview

Prototype is an interactive museum in Columbus, Ohio, that opened in late 2025. Designed primarily for adults, the museum combines art, media, design and technology in hands-on installations that respond to visitor participation.

The museum includes six gallery spaces with about two dozen experiences involving light, sound, motion, tactile controls and digital media. Its final gallery serves as a media theater and bar, displaying work created by visitors earlier in the day.
