Albers: Friday – Hurricane Helene Update

Good morning and please stay vigilant as the storm is still causing significant damage throughout our district and state. The ground is saturated and with the high winds more trees will fall. There is still serious flooding and rapidly moving water. Tell your family, neighbors, and friends to avoid the water and power lines.

Please stay away from these dangerous areas to protect yourselves as well as my fellow first responders. As always, if you have an emergency call 911.

We have over 1 million people in Georgia without power. Crews will be working diligently to restore power over the hours and days ahead. Each of us can help our fellow neighbors.

If possible, stay off the roads! It is very important to keep the roads clear during the storm for your own safety and the response of emergency and power crews.

If I can be of service, please let me know.
