Georgia officials indict six charged in organized retail crime scheme
Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr and Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit District Attorney Susan K. Treadaway announced a new indictment in Cherokee County charging six people who allegedly worked together to operate an organized retail crime scheme targeting T.J. Maxx and HomeGoods locations in Georgia, Tennessee, Florida and Mississippi.

Atlanta to close Pryor Street homeless camp near Interstate 75/85
State and local officials will begin a comprehensive closure and clearing of the encampment located along Pryor Street near the Interstate 75/85 corridor. Officials said the closure will follow the recommendations of the 2025 Task Force on Homelessness Response, which established new procedures for how the City safely manages encampment closures.
