The Sugar Bowl has been postponed until Thursday following a terrorist attack that left 10 people dead and injured nearly three dozen more, according to WDSU-TV.
The FBI is leading an investigation into “an act of terrorism” in New Orleans that left 10 people dead and injured nearly three dozen more. An ISIS flag was recovered from the suspect’s truck, FOX News reported.
At about 3:17 a.m., New Orleans police responded to a report of a vehicle that drove into a crowd of pedestrians in the 300 block of Bourbon Street near the intersection with Canal Street. Authorities said the vehicle struck a construction vehicle, and after the vehicle came to a stop, the suspect reportedly opened fire on responding officers.
The University of Georgia Bulldogs and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are set to face off in the Sugar Bowl.
