SMYRNA, Georgia — The city council is poised to approve an agreement to buy a Georgia Power-occupied building on Concord Road.
On Monday, the council will consider an agreement for the Downtown Development Authority to buy a 2.39-acre property located at 1088 Concord Road from Piedmont Forrest Corp., a subsidiary of Georgia Power, for roughly $1.7 million.
Sightseers’ Delight started publishing in June 2016. The site, published by The DeFeo Groupe, collects and curates content about places where historical events large and small happened. The site builds off the legacy of The Travel Trolley, which launched in June 2009. The site aimed to be a virtual version of the trolley tours offered in so many cities.
ATLANTA — Georgia state troopers are cracking down on drunken drivers statewide as part of a month-long campaign. “Troopers will be keeping a close watch for suspected impaired drivers on every patrol,” Bill Hitchens, commissioner of the Georgia Department of Public Safety, said in a news release. “Impaired driving is a danger 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.” As part of “Drunk and Drugged Driver Awareness Month,” troopers will be conducting road checks statewide
