Brookhaven unveils details about new City Centre

The City of Brookhaven and Explore Brookhaven, the destination marketing organization for the city, are excited to unveil the design details of its new 74,000-square-foot City Centre, which just hosted its ceremonial topping-out event on Friday, Oct. 4, 2024, marking a significant milestone in the construction process.

City of Brookhaven and Explore Brookhaven officials have unveiled the design details of a new 74,000-square-foot City Centre.

The new three-story building, designed by the Sizemore Group, is located at the corner of Peachtree Road and North Druid Hills Road. It incorporates concrete, stone, exposed timbers, and glass. The center, which features an open-air atrium, hosted a ceremonial topping-out event on Friday, Oct. 4.

The future Brookhaven City Centre will include a balanced mix of office space and larger areas. It will be located on a one-acre tract of land on the existing long-term MARTA parking lot.

The city acquired the lot from MARTA in 2022 for the project.

Visitors entering the new City Centre will pass under an entrance structure that resembles a tree canopy, immediately setting a tone of natural harmony. Inside, trees are planted throughout the atrium, and natural elements are integrated into the design.

The building and interiors feature a dynamic design characterized by sweeping curves, enhancing its aesthetic appeal and fostering a sense of fluidity throughout the space.
