Americans for Prosperity – South Carolina honors three as ‘Pioneers for Prosperity’

Americans for Prosperity – South Carolina has awarded three members of Congress with “Pioneers for Prosperity” awards.

The three honored — U.S. Sen. Tim Scott and U.S. Reps. William Timmons and Ralph Norman — are all Republicans.

The group said the “Pioneers for Prosperity” award honors lawmakers who were policy champions during the 118th Congress, advancing principles and policies that drive the conservative movement while opposing ideas that grow the size of government.

The three lawmakers worked closely with AFP in Washington and its grassroots communities in their home states. Lawmakers earned recognition for supporting bills such as the Employee Rights Act, Strategic Production Response Act, Lower Energy Costs Act, Health Care Fairness for All Act, and other pivotal pieces of legislation offering common-sense solutions to improve Americans’ lives.

“My mission in public service has always been to positively affect the lives of a billion people with a message of hope and opportunity,” Scott said in a statement. Being recognized as a Pioneer for Prosperity is a great honor, but only motivates me more to champion and implement policies to help all Americans have the opportunity to succeed and pursue their American Dream.”
