LAKE BUENA VISTA, Florida — Gino, a Silverback gorilla featured on a new Disney Plus show, turns 40 tomorrow.
Gino is the patriarch of a troop of western lowland gorillas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Gino and his family were among the first animals to move into the park before its opening in 1998.
The famous gorilla was born in the Netherlands at the Rotterdam Zoo. He later moved the Lincoln Park Zoo before relocating to Walt Disney World.
