No agreement between Curaçao Tourist Board, Uber

Despite reports to the contrary, the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) has not entered into an agreement with Uber, according to a CTB press release.

“The CTB cannot enter into any agreement regarding transportation, as this goes beyond the Board’s authority,” CTB said in a news release, adding “the CTB is not of the opinion that a concept such as Uber’s would be feasible locally.”

Cabs in the island nation of Curaçao are incredibly easy to hail. They are available at taxi stands in major tourist areas and reasonably priced.
