New resort planned for Curacao

Pen Resort B.V. is planning to develop more than 247,500 square feet of oceanfront property on Curacao into the island’s next resort.

The future Pen Resort Hotel is expected to be completed by 2016.

When finished, the all-inclusive hotel will have 313 rooms, five restaurants and three bars along with a full-service spa and gym. The property is located in the capital of Willemstad.

As part of the project, Pen Resort B.V. plans to restore the 19th century “Cerro Bonito Mansion” and the “Kas di Pueblo.” The mansion will be transformed into a casino and restaurant while “Kas di Pueblo” will be overhauled to include meeting and banquet facilities and suites with butler service.
