ATLANTA — Everyone plays a role when it comes to helping the planet, the chairperson of the Captain Planet Foundation told the Buckhead Business Association last week.
“I used to be the chair of … Zero Waste Zones, which is a program of the Georgia Restaurant Association and is now part of the National Restaurant Association,” the Northside Neighbor quoted Laura Turner Seydel as saying. “Zero Waste Zones says it all. If you can strive in your homes, churches, schools, offices to properly dispose of things, either up-cycled or recycled, that’s important.”
Seydel and her husband live in Atlanta with their three children in Atlanta. Their home, aptly named EcoManor, is the first LEED-certified Gold residence in the southeastern United States.
