ATLANTA — Speaker of the Georgia House David Ralston, R-Blue Ridge, has appointed Representative John Meadows, R-Calhoun, as co-chair of the High School Athletics Overview Committee.

The Southeastern Railway Museum will host typewriter enthusiasts from across the region during the Southeastern Typewriter Type-In. During the event, scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20, the museum will also display artifacts and items from its archives interpreting the role typewriters played in railroad operations over the year.
