Berry College has added 21 new football recruits for the 2015 season, the school announced today.
The class, comprised of high schools mostly from Georgia and the Southeast, includes a pair of quarterbacks and four wide receivers. On the defensive side of the ball, the Vikings are adding five defensive backs.
“We are excited to post the first installment of the 2015 recruiting class,” Head Football Coach Tony Kunczewski said in a news releqaswe.
“Our coaches have worked tirelessly to continue to recruit student-athletes that will help us build toward producing a top-notch program in the SAA,” Kunczewski added. “We feel very fortunate to add these guys to our previous two recruiting classes.”
The Vikings are coming off a 2-8 affair in 2014, the program’s second year of play. Berry opens its 2015 campaign Sept. 5 at Maryville.
The Vikings will inaugurate their new stadium on Sept. 12 when they host LaGrange. Other home games in 2015 Sept. 19 against Rhodes, Oct. 3 against Washington, Oct. 17 against Hendrix and the season closer on Nov. 14 against Centre.
