ATLANTA — U.S. airlines look to be on the verge of raising their fares again, The Associated Press reported.
“I would expect airlines to continue to try probing every week or two to see what the appetite among consumers is before they say, ‘I’m not buying tickets now, and I’m staying home,’ ” Philly.com quoted Rick Seaney, chief executive officer of FareCompare.com, as saying.
The potential fare increases appear to be following oil price increases.
