ATLANTA — One cost-effective way for residents and visitors alike to see the city’s most popular attractions is the Atlanta CityPass.
The CityPass covers admission to six popular attractions and at $69 for adults and $49 for children aged 3-12, CityPass saves almost 50 percent off the combined admissions. In addition to the tickets, the CityPass also includes tips for visitors, a map and other offers.
The CityPass includes admission to four “core attractions” and two so-called “option tickets.” The four “core attractions” are:
- New World of Coca-Cola: Located near Centennial Olympic Park, this 35,000-square-foot tribute to all things Coca-Cola boasts the largest collection of Coke memorabilia. Highlights include a 4-D theater and a bottling operation that produces 8 ounce commemorative bottles.
- The Georgia Aquarium: With 8 million gallons of water and more than 550,000 square feet, the Georgia Aquarium is the world’s largest aquarium. Highlights of the 80,000 animals (representing 500 species) that call the aquarium home are the four beluga whales and the four whale sharks, which are the world’s largest fish. The Georgia Aquarium has recently launched a free audio tour that visitors may access by using their personal cell phones.
- Inside CNN Atlanta Studio Tour: This 55-minute behind the scenes tour of CNN provides visitors with a unique look at what goes in to the making of a newscast watched by 2 billion people across the globe.
- Zoo Atlanta: Located in the Grant Park neighborhood, Zoo Atlanta features more than 40 exhibits that are home to 800 animals from 200 species. Highlights include a five-acre African Plains and The Asian Forest that is home to the zoo’s giant pandas.
For the two “option tickets,” visitors can select either the Fernbank Museum of Natural History or the Atlanta Botanical Garden and either The High Museum of Art or the Atlanta History Center.
