Proponents say legislation approved by the Georgia House would streamline the regulatory process for food trucks and could save business owners thousands of dollars a year.

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp plans to use more than $217 million in federal money to fund grants for hospitals, assisted living communities and personal care homes.

The Georgia House has approved legislation that would allow local governments to provide disaster relief to residents if the federal government does not.

The federal government is sending about $20 million to the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) for a trio of projects, including a new bus maintenance facility and new electric buses.
