Train and Toad the Wet Sprocket will be performing in downtown Smyrna on Oct. 8.

The move came after months of discussion about what to do with the “historic” cabin located in the heart of the city.

City officials here voted to dispose of a historic structure that once served as a controversial restaurant.

At issue is a $6.5 million project to redevelop the town green, home to the local community center and library. City officials say it is the “biggest change to our downtown since the 1990s.”
