Scandinavian Airlines System or Scandinavian Airlines, better known as SAS, is the flag carrier airline of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. SAS is part of the SAS Group and is headquartered in Solna, Sweden.

Its first intercontinental flight took place on September 17, 1946, with a route from Stockholm to New York.
