Acting New Jersey Gov. Tahesha Way declared that New Jersey will enter a State of Emergency effective at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, in response to the active Jones Road Wildfire in the Greenwood Forest Wildlife Management Area near Lacey, Ocean, and Barnegat Townships in Ocean County.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency has awarded South Carolina a Fire Management Assistance Grant (FMAG) to support the state’s response to the Covington Drive Fire, Republican Gov. Henry McMaster said. The grant will help ensure resources are available to suppress the fire burning near Myrtle Beach.
