Withlacoochee State Trail

Overview

The Withlacoochee State Trail is a 47-mile paved recreational trail extending between Citrus Springs and Dade City, Florida. Developed along a former railroad corridor, it is one of the longest paved rail-trails in the state and passes through Citrus, Hernando and Pasco counties. Its generally level route crosses small communities, ranchland and six distinct natural environments.

The trail accommodates bicycling, walking, running and skating, while an unpaved equestrian trail parallels portions of the route. It is part of the Florida Greenways and Trails System and is designated a National Recreation Trail.
