LAKE BUENA VISTA, Florida — Walt Disney World officials are planning to add a new Audio-Animatronics figure of Walt Disney to the classic Carousel of Progress attraction.
The attraction, created by Walt Disney for the 1964 World’s Fair, has greeted guests since opening in the Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland in 1975.
Officials said Disney will introduce the show in a newly created scene. More details will be shared as the carousel continues to spin, showing a new generation of enchanted time-travelers that a great big, beautiful tomorrow is just a dream away.
The attraction has had more performances than any other show in American theater history and has operated at Magic Kingdom as a tribute to the original since 1975.
