SMYRNA, Georgia — The Smyrna City Council unanimously approved the appointment of Mike Jones as interim city administrator during its May 19 meeting.
Jones, who previously served in the same role from 2015 to 2017, will officially assume the position on June 2, 2025, following the retirement of City Administrator Joseph Bennett.
City Attorney Scott Cochran administered the Oath of Office to Jones during the meeting. The council also authorized Mayor Derek Norton to sign and execute all related contract documents.
