Americans for Prosperity-Georgia is taking a victory lap after its efforts to help Georgia food truck owners reduce overbearing rules and regulations. The pro-prosperity group helped pass Georgia House Bill 1443 in 2022.
Food truck owners previously faced a burdensome permit process, potentially requiring separate permits in all 159 counties. The red tape stifled small business growth, forcing owners to focus on pleasing the government rather than serving customers.
Frustrated with the extensive process, food truck owners formed the Food Truck Association of Georgia to champion common-sense reform to unlock small business potential. AFP-GA worked alongside the Food Truck Association of Georgia and lawmakers to draft and champion efforts supporting HB 1443.
Now, AFP-GA has released a new video titled “Food Truck Freedom: How Georgia Made Business Easier for Small Entrepreneurs.”
