Reliable Wi-Fi is critical to everyday life, and travelers are making it a priority for their travel plans.
A new survey from satellite internet provider HughesNet found that nearly 60% of respondents rely on Wi-Fi constantly in their daily lives. Many travelers are willing to pay more for faster internet, with 54% already doing so.
Roughly two-thirds (65%) prioritize accommodations with strong connectivity, and nearly half would pay for in-flight Wi-Fi when a free option isn’t available. Additionally, 41% of travelers seek Wi-Fi passwords immediately after checking in at hotels or rentals.
Hughesnet surveyed 1,000 Americans about their Wi-Fi usage and habits.
