COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board is looking to hire an executive director.

The organization oversees the operations, security and historic preservation of the Ohio Statehouse. Prospective candidates should be available to start in November.

The board has had three executive directors since it was formed in 1988. The executive director reports to the 12-member Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board, supervising the operation of Capitol Square and managing 60 workers.

The CSRAB facilitates state government operations, protects and maintains the Ohio Statehouse, and ensures the health, safety, and convenience of those who work in and visit the complex. It also manages the maintenance, operations, and security of the Ohio Statehouse, Senate Building and Capitol grounds.

In addition to operating the Ohio Statehouse Museum Education Center, the Statehouse Museum Shop, and the underground parking facility, CSRAB grants permits for public activities on Capitol Square.

“The executive director must have a deep appreciation for the Ohio Statehouse’s rich heritage and history and be dedicated to welcoming citizens to participate in state government,” state Rep. Scott Oelslager, CSRAB Chair, said in a statement.
