ATLANTA (defeo.biz) — The capital city of Georgia is the best cold destination for winter travel this year, while Las Vegas is the best warm weather destination.

That’s according to a new report from Wallethub that analyzed the 69 of the largest metro areas. The organization said it explored 26 key metrics, including “cost of the cheapest flight” and “number of attractions in each winter vacation spot.”

New York City; Albuquerque, N.M.; Kansas City; and St. Louis rounded out the top five cold destinations. Los Angeles; San Diego; Phoenix and Orlando, Fla., rounded out the top five warm weather destinations.

As a part of its analysis, Wallethub found:

  • The average flight to a popular cold winter destination is $326
  • The average flight to a popular warm winter destination costs $455
  • Among cold weather destinations, Albuquerque, N.M., has the lowest price for the cheapest three-star hotel room at $41 per night
  • Among warm weather destinations, Killeen, Texas, has the lowest price for the cheapest three-star hotel room at $42 per night
  • Among cold weather destinations, New York has the most restaurants per capita with 10.76
  • Among warm weather destinations, Orlando, Fla., has the most restaurants per capita with 6.12
