Photo of the Day: Ponce City Market gets a name

ATLANTA — Workers on May 2, 2015, assembled a sign for the front of Ponce City Market in the Old Fourth Ward section of Atlanta.

The mixed use development located in a building that served as a warehouse, retail store and regional office for Sears, Roebuck and Co. store from 1926 until 1979. The city of Atlanta bought the building for use as City Hall East from 1990 to 2010.

Ponce City Market officially opened on Aug. 25, 2014.
