Airplane Crashes Into Hudson River

NEW YORK — A U.S. Airways plane that took off from LaGuardia Airport crashed in the Hudson River.

Officials said terrorism did not play a role in the crash of the Charlotte, N.C.,- bound flight.

“I saw what appeared to be a tail fin of a plane sticking out of the water,” The Associated Press quoted one witness as saying. “All the boats have sort of circled the area. … I can’t tell what’s what at this point.”
