South Carolina Gov Henry McMaster has issued an executive order declaring a state of emergency to support South Carolina’s ongoing response to the Table Rock Fire in Pickens County.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has awarded South Carolina a Fire Management Assistance Grant (FMAG) to support the state’s response to the Covington Drive Fire, Republican Gov. Henry McMaster said. The grant will help ensure resources are available to suppress the fire burning near Myrtle Beach. The FMAG, funded through the federal Disaster Relief Fund on a cost-share basis, allows local, state, and tribal agencies responding to the fire to apply for 75% reimbursement of eligible
