Panama City Beach suffers minimal impact from Hurricane Sally

While Hurricane Sally passed through Panama City Beach, it had only a minimal impact, according to tourism officials.

Officials there said beaches, accommodations, attractions, and restaurants are open. They are encouraging travelers planning to visit the city this weekend proceed with their plans.

“We are fortunate to have sustained little to no major damages from Hurricane Sally,” Visit Panama City Beach President and CEO Dan Rowe said in a news release. “Our hearts go out to those in Florida who were more severely impacted, as well as residents of Louisiana and Texas who are still recovering from Laura.”
