LONDON — The Battersea Power Station, a coal-fired power station, dates to 1929, when construction began on its A station. Construction on the B station kicked off in 1945.
The now decommissioned power station, designed in the “brick cathedral style,” sits on the River Thames’ south bank in the London Borough of Wandsworth (unclear if it’s the dodgy end).
Today, instead of generating electricity, the Battersea Power Station is electrifying locals and visitors alike.
