It’s been six months since I returned from New Zealand. I can’t believe it has been that long.
I feel like Auckland is one of those cities that somehow flies under the radar. Is that even possible?
Auckland is the largest city in the country and a major center of international business. But, somehow it seems like a less well-known destination than other cities of its size and caliber.
I say that not to be negative, but more along the lines of a “you need to visit Auckland now” sense. It’s a truly magnificent city that oddly feels equal parts familiar, foreign and otherworldly. All in the best sense possible.
Since I am longing for a return visit to the City of Sails, here are a few pictures that will help me through the day. I hope they help you too — and maybe give you five reasons to visit soon.
