ATLANTA — Well, don’t spend this all in one place.
According to AAA, gas prices nationwide dropped 2 cents over the last week to $3.907 per gallon, down from $3.929 per gallon a week ago. In Georgia, prices dropped rough 3 cents per gallon, to $3.831 per gallon from $3.863 per gallon, according to AAA.
“The seemingly amicable talks with Iran on Saturday are likely to further ease tensions over the concern Iran will block the Strait of Hormuz and cut off a large portion of global oil supply. The lessened concern with Iran coupled with slow economic growth in China, and ample supply will very likely cause gas prices to drop,” Jessica Brady, AAA spokeswoman, said in a news release. “This is positive news for motorists who may start to see some relief at the pump as the summer driving season approaches.”
Tennessee (2 cents per gallon) and Florida (3 cents per gallon) also saw slight decreases in gas prices, according to AAA.
