Delta’s outstanding operational performance, commitment to safety and premium customer service has earned 2024 Airline of the Year by aviation publication Air Transport World.

Delta’s enduring dedication to a safe and efficient operation has won the trust of its customers, with additional recognition from the Wall Street Journal and Cirium. This important component of connecting the world reflects the work of our people, who are innovating thoughtful customer experiences in the air, such as Fast, Free Wi-Fi connectivity presented by T-Mobile, and on the ground by focusing on key hub infrastructure investments with multiple airport and Sky Club renovations.

With tremendous care for tomorrow, Delta makes sustainability a priority through advocacy and action. At the same time, Delta strives to make a difference in the communities where our people live, work and serve today. The company also has a strong industry leading track record in consistently investing in its employees, sharing $1.4 billion of its profits directly to its workforce this year.

Delta delivers world-class operational excellence and elevated experiences that continue to create opportunities for recognition by some of the world’s most reputable organizations, including ranking No. 11 on Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies List and holding the No.1 spot for the thirteenth year in a row by the Business Travel News Survey.

“This is a tremendous honor and a direct reflection of the dedication of our 100,000 people worldwide,” said Ed Bastian, CEO of Delta Air Lines. “Through our nearly 100-year history, it’s our people that continuously set us apart and their care and professionalism that will take us to even greater heights as we soar into the future.”

Established in 1974 to recognize excellence across airline operations, the ATW Airline Industry Achievement Awards are given to global organizations that have distinguished themselves through outstanding performance and superior service.  Awardees are selected by a panel of editors and analysts at ATW, Routes, Aviation Week and CAPA.
