WILLEMSTAD, Curaçao — The famed Plasa Bieu (Old Market) is closed for an extensive renovation.
The plaza, one of the best places on the island to sample local fare such as goat stew, closed in March. The Curaçao Chronicle reports the rehab project could take six months.
The market has moved to the new market (Nobo) next door. Diners can find local fare on the upper level of the market.
