Sun Country Airlines launching service to Savannah, Biloxi

Sun Country Airlines is launching new flights between Minneapolis/St. Paul and a pair of southern cities.

Starting this summer, the airline will fly seasonally to Savannah/Hilton Head and Gulfport/Biloxi.

“Savannah and Gulfport are both beautiful communities that strengthen our roster of destinations,” Larry Chestler, a Sun Country Airlines EVP, said in a news release. “Growing our non-stop service from MSP to these new coastal destinations gives our passengers even more great options for vacations, be it a golf getaway, a casino trip or a family beach vacation.”

According to the airline, Sun Country will serve Gulfport/Biloxi seasonal between Aug. 27 and Nov. 22 and Savannah/Hilton Head between Aug. 27 and Dec. 13. With the new service, Sun Country serves 37 destinations.

“This new seasonal service will provide the 3 million residents of Minneapolis/St Paul with direct access to two great leisure markets, Savannah and Hilton Head Island,” Airport Executive Director Greg Kelly said in a news release. “The seasonal service will also provide direct access for residents of Savannah and the low country to a great city and region in the Midwest. We are pleased to welcome Sun Country Airlines to our market.”
