ATLANTA – Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is planning to offer free Wi-Fi to travelers starting next year.
“I am pleased to announce that Hartsfield-Jackson is one step closer to offering truly free Wi-Fi,” Aviation General Manager Louis Miller said in a news release. “This initiative builds upon our commitment to improving the overall Airport experience for all customers. As a global aviation hub, Hartsfield-Jackson connects hundreds of thousands of passengers with communities worldwide every day. Free Wi-Fi will make it easier for these passengers to conduct their professional and personal business during their time at the Airport.”
Starting today, the airport is also offering Internet service for a cheaper cost of $4.95 per day. In advance of the free Internet connection, the airport is upgrading its infrastructure.
“During and after the system upgrades, Wi-Fi users will continue to experience the same reliable and secure Internet service that they have enjoyed for many years,” Roosevelt Council Jr., aviation deputy general manager and chief financial officer, said in a news release. “We have listened to what customers want and are putting in the infrastructure to ensure that the service will be everything they expect and need.”
The airport’s Wi-Fi connection works for nearly every location within the airport.
