As the southern part of the United States prepares for winter weather, New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy lifted the state of emergency declared for seven counties in South Jersey.

Executive Order No. 374 applied to Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem counties.

Murphy issued the order on Sunday, Jan. 5. However, with the signing of Executive Order No. 376, the state of emergency was terminated in those seven counties effective today at noon on Thursday, Jan. 9.
