ATLANTA — The Federal Aviation Administration said it will investigate the aborted takeoff of a Delta Air Lines flight at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport this morning.

Delta Air Lines Flight 2668, bound for Minneapolis-St. Paul, aborted its takeoff around 9:05 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, due to a reported engine issue. Passengers used emergency slides to exit the plane on the runway.

Delta said it is “managing worse-than-expected winter weather across the Southeast this weekend, including at our Atlanta hub.”

All runways were closed by 9:20 a.m. Delta said it has canceled approximately 500 Delta and Delta Connection flights for Jan. 10.
