Survey finds how many people plan to campaign signs this election season

The roadsides are littered with many worthy attractions: old missiles, giant chickens and … yard signs?

With a presidential election looming, yard signs are a mainstay of people’s yards, right alongside the garden gnomes.

The upcoming election prompted LawnStarter to survey more than 1,000 U.S. homeowners about their thoughts, concerns and plans for displaying campaign signs on their lawns this year.

Democrats (41.6%) more than Republicans (36.4%) and centrists (27.9%) are more very likely to place campaign signs in their yards this election year. Swing states that voted for Biden and Trump in the 2020 election tie.

At 10.3%, those between 18 and 24 years old are most likely to display a sign supporting a third-party presidential candidate.
