A look at Clarksville, Tennessee, through historic postcards

Located on the Tennessee-Kentucky line, Clarksville, Tennessee, is best known as the home of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and the 101st Airborne Division. Tennessee’s fifth-largest city is also home to Austin Peay State University, named in honor of a native son and former state governor.

The city was once a major tobacco port situated near the confluence of the Cumberland and Red rivers and is an easy day trip from Nashville.
