The New York Transit Museum in Brooklyn has reopened following a yearlong closure amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“After what might only be described as the most challenging 16 months in the Museum’s history, I am pleased to share that the New York Transit Museum will reopen our main location in mid-August,” New York Transit Museum Director Concetta Bencivenga said in a news release. “We cannot wait to see visitors experience our fantastic vintage fleet and our wonderful exhibits in person – it’s been a long time coming.”
The New York Transit Museum’s initial reopening hours will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays through Sundays.
Advanced tickets and mask-wearing are required for admission. Additionally, the museum said new health and safety procedures are in place.
