ATLANTA (defeo.biz) — People go on vacation to escape work. Right?

Well, according to Marriott Rewards’ Global Travel Tracker, less than half of people (47 percent) completely disconnect while on vacation.

The survey compiled input from more than 6,600 travelers in 14 international cities including Chicago, Miami, New York and London who participated in the online survey exploring traveler’s habits on the road.

While women do a better job than men (34 percent vs. 23 percent), men tend to return to work less stressed than women (44 percent vs. 36 percent). Travelers from Tokyo said they are the most stressed after a vacation (35 percent), while travelers from Mexico City are the least stressed (just 4 percent).
